Awake, wary minds in quiet Nihon's keep,
In Silicon's maw, the timid yen does leap.
Like startled hares in the shadow of the hawk,
Watch dear bonds flicker, 'gainst troubling times they balk.

A yonder crossroads for the ram named Romney, bred,
In lands of Utah, where destiny is wed.
With one term past, will a new journey start,
Or will he, like the snail, recoil from the dart?

The moon's pale south, a hare's burrow yet unseen,
India and Russia in a celestial scene.
Who leads the race to this draped untrodden shore?
A gamboling goat, in the cosmos to explore.
