From the heavens descends a week, heavy with gold,
McDonald's earnings, a feast for eyes to behold.
Joining the feast, banks of power debate rate,
Whilst traders, like monks, pray and wait.

Debate is rife in the Japanese sphere,
On whether rates high will bring good cheer.
Uncertainty reigns, a heady brew,
As to what steps the Bank will pursue.

Oil's price rises, a potent ale,
Mid-East tensions tip the scale.
OPEC, the brewer, doubts in its heart,
Delaying the moment when restrictions depart.
